Super durable and comfortable.
Pricey, heavy, and overkill for casual campers.
Following the huge popularity in its high-end coolers the Texas-based YETI has increased its offerings in the past few years. The Trailhead Camp Chair sticks to the same formula: It’s extremely sturdy and made of high-end materials. It’s also comfortably and large enough that it’s easy to fold and comes with a stylish style that looks classy. At $350 The YETI is the most expensive chair that we’ve included on our list and is a great alternative for sporting events, camping and concert that will last for a long time.
It’s important to note that YETI also offers another model of a camp chair with the name of the Hondo. It’s priced the same however the Hondo is heavier at more than 16 pounds, which makes it somewhat more difficult to transport the chair for a long distance from your vehicle. The Hondo has horizontal bars running down the bottom to provide support, that are great when the terrain are fairly flat, but they aren’t nearly as sturdy in comparison to the feet that are on the Trailhead at campsites with a range of terrain. Both chairs are of high-quality We prefer the lighter weight and more stable that comes with the Trailhead.
