Premium build quality, sturdy design, and convenient organization.
Bulky, heavy, and shows wear quicker than we would like
For those who are torn between the traditional duffel and a traditional wheeled luggage The Osprey Shuttle may be exactly what you’re looking to find. The high-end duffel is spacious, sturdy and has plenty of storage. Each time we’ve stuffed the entire amount of vacation clothes and other stuff into the Shuttle easily. In contrast to other duffels with wheels which tend to collapse once they’re full and upright it is stable and sturdy. Additionally, all its other options are included including straps for compression externally to secure your load , to a lower compartment to store wet gear.
The drawbacks in Osprey’s Shuttle Osprey Shuttle mostly relate to the design. The first is that you’re not putting this bag on your shoulders and walking through the airport, or through the city. It’s heavy and bulky at more than 8 pounds empty and is required to be transported entirely via wheels. Additionally, when filled to capacity it could be exceeding the 50-pound standard checked baggage limit, especially if you choose the 130-liter model (we’ve had no problems with the 100-liter version, but we’ve been close at times). In addition, we’ve been amazed at the amount of wear and tear is evident in this particular Osprey Shuttle. We purchased the red version,, but I would suggest the black version instead.
