The most discerning backpackers want an extremely lightweight, high-quality, and sturdy tent which is why MSR’s Hubba Hubba ticks all those boxes with a vengeance. While it dropped a substantial 10 ounces from its previous model, the new model in 2022 performed extremely well in our tests in Patagonia in which it was hammered by strong winds. The high-end design is costly with a price of $480 (for two-person) however it might not be worth the cost for backpackers who aren’t experienced, however, the additional cost will get you a robust weight, an adequate interior, and a pole structure that performs well for all three seasons.
